This week is my birthday. Typically it’s a girl’s week at Disneyland, but that’s not happening this year. Instead my wonderful Snake and I are going to be flying into Boston and doing a road trip up the coast to Maine.
It’s super exciting because I’ve never been to Boston and only to Hampton Beach as a child. Snake was in Boston years ago but only saw the inside of a convention center.
It will be chilly for us desert rats, but that just means more opportunities to find fires and try out wines and such.
There will be sights that we’ve never seen and lots of seafood and plenty of time to be together and do…whatever we want.
And while things definitely won’t be “normal,” we’ll be traveling and getting to make lots of Mmm-worthy memories.
You’re in for one hell of a treat. Boston is a marvelous city (one of my favourites EVER!) And the East Coast is always a fascinating drive!
Happy Birthday!
Thank you! 😊
The North End of boston has a ton of great food. If you like sweats Mikes Pastry or Modern Pastry, Mikes is more of the tourist location. Visit Paul Revere’s House, The Old North Church, and the USS Constitution the oldest commissioned naval ship in the world. If you like pizza Pizzeria Regina on Thatcher St. is excellent. Newbury St. is the Rodeo Drive of Boston. If you make it to Portland Maine Four St. , Via Vecchia and Baharat if you like Middle eastern food. And if you make up to Freeport Me. a place called the Muddy Rudder has great seafood dishes. We stop there on are way to PEI Canada.
Thank you!
Enjoy your birthday and the trip!
