W is for Watching

He’d been focused on his work with his headphones on for a couple of hours. Stretching, he heard his back pop all the way up. It was time for a break.

He put the headphones on his desk and turned. She was sitting on the floor in front of the couch and watching him. He jumped and asked, “How long have you been there?”

“About half an hour. You were a bit distracted,” she laughed.

“You should have let me know you were waiting for me.”

“You were cute with your brow all furrowed and biting your lip. I like watching you.”

He looked at her. She wasn’t wearing a bra and only had an open shirt over her underwear. “But I like seeing you.”

“We’ll switch roles. You can watch me now.” She stood and walked in front of him. “Unless you have more pressing business.”

Quickly he shook his head. “My schedule has magically opened up. What did you have in mind?”

Silently she started to slide the shirt down just slightly. “Oh,” he said, adjusting his pants. “I think I need to mark off the entire afternoon.”
