N is for Napping

She fell asleep in the warm sun. The book was amusing, but after the late night, it wasn’t enough to stave off the nap.

As she opened her eyes, all she could see was the sun peeking through the umbrella weaving. She took her time waking up, enjoying the warmth and the laziness that enveloped her body.

As she stretched, she heard a slight gasp. She turned her head quickly to see Nate watching her, camera in hand.

“Are you perving on me while I sleep?” she teased.

“Maybe…that must have been some dream with the smile on your face. Of course, you wake up and stretch with that teeny bikini. That’s just not fair.”

“I didn’t do it on purpose,” she protested. “Besides, it isn’t my fault you spied on me while I was sleeping.”

“I came out to take some pictures and didn’t know you were sleeping. You might even be more beautiful now than when we met.”

She blushed. “Thank you.”

“No, thank you. I’m so lucky to have you. For the record, you weren’t my initial subject, but I got sidetracked.”

“And who was your original subject?”

“The old table that we are going to sell. I was going to list it.”

“I’m glad to know that I’m more interesting than the table,” she laughed.

“The table has never made me hard,” he blushed.

She slid her hand into his shorts. “Oh, my. That seems so uncomfortable. It sucks that we are going out to lunch soon. “

He groaned. “Not fair.”
