In spite of the fact that most of our backyard is one giant tree, it’s challenging to find some pictures that include trees. This one was taken at sunset so the colors in the background were vibrant.

When we were in a hotel in January, I snuck into the bathroom and took a few pictures of Snake while he was showering. There were some that I’m keeping for my own personal stash, but he agreed to let me post this one. See how lucky I am?

We have a beautiful really old mesquite tree in our backyard. Unlike other places, our trees tend to widen into a canopy instead of going straight up. This particular one covers over half of our yard and is absolutely gorgeous.

It’s amazing how changing the color of a photo completely changes the feel of the photo. After a little editing, this photo looks a bit like it was taken in the 1940s.

Water is one of our favorite elements to put in our photos so choosing one was difficult.

Every so often I’m privileged to be able to share a photo of my sexy Snake. He really doesn’t like posting pictures of himself, so consider it a gift.

X marks the spot, right?

One of Snake’s tricks is to change up the focal length on most shots so we have choices. I loved the way the focus is really quite out of focus in this particular one.

Time to end this year and getting ready for the next. What’s better than a disco ball to light things up?

All of the presents are wrapped, decorating is done and now it’s time to just enjoy some quiet time.

Sepia and b/w photos are always fun, but sometimes, you have to dial up the monochrome to fit the season.

A few candles, a reflective vase, a little undressing–it’s fun playing with lights and shadows.
